Officials gather for a photo when the City of Bridgeport purchased its first street sweeper. Shown in the this undated photo courtesy of Ruth Allen are, from left, Bob Allen and Don Duke of Bridgeport City Council, Mayor Carl Furbee, H. Whitley Perkins and Larry Miller of Euclid Sales (the company the vehicle was purchased from), Public Works Director Tinker Steele, and truck driver Carson Cottrill.
This submitted photo is believed to be from the mid to more possibly the late 1990s. It is near the start of a West Virginia Italian Heritage Festival Parde and shows Battista Destito, left, and Chris Williams as they prepare to carry St. John the Baptist through the parade route.
