The Bavarian Inn, shown here featuring its beef stew lunch special, occupied this familiar barn-shapped building that also housed the Millstone Restaurant. This fire, which happened not quite 10 years ago - on March 3, 2006 - in the City of Salem, destroyed many long-standing structures. Fire units from across the region responded to help put out the massive blaze.
