Time Travel: Annual Fireman's Fair Parade on Main Street and a Clarksburg Glass Plant from 1906

By Dick Duez on February 02, 2020 from History Blog via Connect-Bridgeport.com

Few things are talked about with as much fondness as the former Bridgeport Fireman's Fair. Although the exact date of this photo is unknown, it's believed to possibly be from 1972 and showing the annual parade that was part of the festivities. If you have information on the date or see someone you know in the photograph, share the information in the comment section below.
This is a photo from 1906 at the old Adamston Window Glass plant that started in 1901 as a co-op and later became Adamston Flat glass. Adamston Flat operated up to 1975. The photo here was taken from Limestone Junction Hill looking down West Pike St with North View beyond.

Editor's Note: This ongoing photo feature of pictures from Bridgeport and throughout the Mountain State is part of local historian Richard "Dick" Duez's collection.
