Time Travel: Bridgeport High School Senior Class Play from 1982 and Downtown Osage Street Scene

By Dick Duez on August 30, 2015 from History Blog via Connect-Bridgeport.com

Shown are members of the 1982 senior class taking part in the play the "Damn Yankees." The class play is a tradition at Bridgeport High School. Tell us who you know that is pictured in the comment section below.

This decades-old photo, which is from just north of Morgantown, is where the Scott's Run Settlement House is located. Eleanor Roosevelt visited this area many times in the late 1930s. This photo was taken around the time my wife Norma was born in this area. Her house was about where the photo was taken just out of sight.

Editor's Note: This ongoing photo feature of pictures from Bridgeport and throughout the Mountain State is part of local historian Richard "Dick" Duez's collection. Duez, the unofficial historian of Bridgeport, would appreciate any scanned photos emailed to him for use here or to include in his ongoing efforts to preserve local history. You can email photos, or let him know how to acquire copies of photos you may have in your possession, to Duez at dick.do@frontier.com.
