This photo from the 1999 Bridgeport High School Yearbook Ki-Cu-Wa, shows Dr. Joseph Momen, right, and then high school junior and daughter Auvid Momen at the doctor's office. Today, and decades into his work, Dr. Joseph Momen is still practicing. And in a case of the apple and tree theory proving correct, Auvid Momen is today Dr. Auvid Momen.

The once upscale lobby of the Waldo Hotel in downtown Clarksburg is shown in this image from a postcard from 1925, courtesy of the West Virginia Regional & History Center. Today, the Waldo still stands, but is barricaded on its exterior due to falling debris from the structure. It has been closed for decades. Many believe the building is in a state of disrepair, while others believe it can be saved.
