Time Travel: Furbee's Drug Store with its Prices from 1956 and a 1966 Main Street Clarksburg Restaurant

By Dick Duez on October 24, 2021 from History Blog via Connect-Bridgeport.com

Many of you remember Furbee's Drug Store on Main Street. Most of us would like to remember some of the prices shown in the window such as a sunday for 9 cents or a banana split for 19 cents that you could get from their soda fountain. If you have any memories of this store, share them below. This particular photo is from 1956.
Back in 1966, when this photo was taken, there were restaurants just about everywhere in downtown Clarksburg of all sizes and offering a little bit of everything. This one on Main Street is offering up hot dogs and hamburgers as well as something you almost can't find anymore outside - a phone booth.
