Time Travel: Going Back 45 Years to Fireman's Fair in Bridgeport and East End Hot Dogs in Clarksburg

By Dick Duez on September 10, 2017 from History Blog via Connect-Bridgeport.com

For decades, the Brideport Fireman's Fair was a staple of the community. This photo shows activities from 1972. Anyone recognize any of these individuals, rides or have memories of the event itself? If so, please comment in the comment section below.
If you don't remember this advertisement then perhaps you remember the business. East End Lunch was a staple for years in Clarksburg and, as the sign indicates, was known for its 10 cent hot dogs. Anyone else remember this place and what it served?

Editor's Note: This ongoing photo feature of pictures from Bridgeport and throughout the Mountain State is part of local historian Richard
"Dick" Duez's collection. Duez, the unofficial historian of Bridgeport, would appreciate any scanned photos emailed to him for use here or to include in his ongoing efforts to preserve local history. You can email photos, or let him know how to acquire copies of photos you may have in your possession, to Duez at dick.do@frontier.com.
