Time Travel: Looking Outside and Inside at The Coffee Shop and Flour Mill Work in Boothsville

By Dick Duez on August 23, 2015 from History Blog via Connect-Bridgeport.com

Although not certain of the date of this photo, it is of the exterior of The Coffee Shop situated on the corner of Center Street and Main Street, while the interior is shown below as a bonus three-picture Time Travel blog this week. This building was at one time the City of Bridgeport's jail. Today, the building is long gone and a municipal parking lot is in its place.

As mentioned above, here is the interior of The Coffee Shop. If you have any memories of this business, please feel free to comment about them below in the comment section.

This picture is more than 100 years old - 115 to  be exact as it was taken in 1910. This is of the flour mill in Boothsville, which is located in Marion County.

Editor's Note: This ongoing photo feature of pictures from Bridgeport and throughout the Mountain State is part of local historian Richard "Dick" Duez's collection. Duez, the unofficial historian of Bridgeport, would appreciate any scanned photos emailed to him for use here or to include in his ongoing efforts to preserve local history. You can email photos, or let him know how to acquire copies of photos you may have in your possession, to Duez at dick.do@frontier.com.
