Bridgeport Public Library : The Colorful Yarns!

By Connect-Bridgeport Staff on March 21, 2014 via Connect-Bridgeport.com

The Bridgeport Public Library’s knitting club is expanding to include more forms of fiber creativity! To celebrate this growth, the group earned a new name, The Colorful Yarns! All those interested in knitting or crochet or needlepoint, including crewel and embroidery are welcome to attend meetings to share ideas! Bring your current project to work on while mingling with fellow fiber enthusiasts! The next meeting for the group is Tuesday, March 25, 2014 at 6:30pm!
If you have questions about this event, please contact Donna Saas or Sarah Nora at 304-842-8248.

About The Colorful Yarns’ name
Donna Saas, a library staff member and leader of the knitting group, noticed the group’s expansion into territory beyond knitting. An umbrella term was needed to encompasses and encourage further participation. Saas generated the name “The Colorful Yarns” to include both the materials used and the stories that stem from fiber projects. The Bridgeport Public Library invites all – men and women, young and old, and experienced and inexperienced crafters – to attend The Colorful Yarns’ meetings!
