Bridgeport's "Library-in-a-Box" Program at City's Muncipal Complex Launched

By Connect-Bridgeport Staff on April 16, 2014 via Connect-Bridgeport.com

The Bridgeport Public Library is now offering a program that increases the flexibility of item availability!
The new Library-in-a-Box program uses a locker located at City Hall to fulfill patron requests. Busy library patrons may use this library service to lessen their trips around town!

Library patrons may request an item via email prior to the library’s closing at 8:00pm and the item will be in the locker afte
r 12:00pm on the following business day. An email will be sent to the patron with pick up instructions once the request is fulfilled. Patrons may pick up their items at any point during the standard two week checkout period.

Program limitations:
  • Requests made after 8:00pm will be available in two business days.
  • Library-in-a-Box will not be loaded on Saturday or Sunday.
  • Audio/Video items are not eligible.
  • Oversized items are not eligible.
  • All items must be returned to the Bridgeport Public Library.
