PHOTOS: Dog Days At The Library

While the dog days of summer are still a ways off, the Bridgeport Public Library had their own Dog Days on Saturday afternoon. Barbara Higgins and her therapy dog Brenda Lee stopped by as part of a literacy program. Children of all ages read their favorite books to Brenda Lee, who is less judgmental and particular than most adults. The result is a positive experience that makes kids want to continue reading. Mrs. Higgins and Brenda Lee travel to schools and libraries all across the state promoting their literacy program.
