West Virginia Patriot Baseball is hosting a major travel baseball tournament to be held at the Bridgeport Recreation Complex, Bridgeport High School and Frank Loria field this weekend, May 26th, May 27th, and May 28th. The 6th Annual Bridgeport Bracket Bash includes a 38 team field broken into 5 age brackets with teams competing in each of 11U, 12U, 13U, 14U & 15U divisions. There will be 570 players & coaches participating in the tournament. Expectations are that large crowds will be in attendance over the weekend as has been the case in the past.

 

Admission is $3 per day and those under 12 are admitted free. Residents of the community are invited to come out and watch a little or a lot of youth baseball as 71 games will be played between Friday’s 4pm start through Sunday evening’s five championship games. Schedule, game results and standings will be posted to www.wvpatriotbaseball.com throughout the weekend for up-to-date information on the tournament.

 

The slate for the tournament includes Friday games beginning at 4pm, Saturday games beginning at 8am, and Sunday games starting at 8am and playing toward the championship games in each division. Each team will play 2 games, based on those results, then be seeded for a single elimination format ending with our bracket champions. This is a non-sanctioned event and the participants are travel baseball teams from 4 states.
