After 22 Years in City Finance Department, Donna Krivosky Steps into Role of Bridgeport City Clerk

After 34 years in city government finance departments, Donna Krivosky has turned over a new leaf. She recently took over the position of Bridgeport city clerk. Though numbers have been her forte for the past three and a half decades, Krivosky is excited about transitioning into a role which will encompass a realm of organizational duties, working alongside Mayor Andy Lang, City Manager Kim Haws, Assistant City Manager Jimmy Smith and Bridgeport City Council.

Conscientious about her work, having a knack for detail and considering herself a “people person,” Krivosky feels the city clerk position is ideal for her and looks forward to this next chapter in her career.

Krivosky has worked for nearly 22 years for the City of Bridgeport, formerly working under Finance Director Keith Boggs and then Monica Musgrave. Prior to that position, she worked for the City of Fairmont. She said both Boggs and Musgrave were wonderful to work with and that two-plus decades in the city's finance departent is a career move she has never regretted. She is, however, excited about this new challenge.

In September of this year, she took on the duty of helping to create a new centralized purchasing department for the city and helping out with other administrative duties. She was thereafter offered to add the position of city clerk to her new responsibilities and graciously accepted.

“I’m honored for this amazing opportunity and I give God all the glory for yet another blessing in my life,” she said.

Originally from Fairmont, Krivosky lives in Clarksburg, where she enjoys gardening and spending time with her dad and her dog Lady Elizabeth. She attends Jewel City Church in Shinnston and is a member of the church choir and worship team.

Looking back at stints of former city clerks Judy Lawson and Andrea Kerr, she knows she has big shoes to fill, but with Kerr's help, she knows she will be successful in her new endeavor.
