Bridgeport High School Principal Mark DeFazio has announced that Alisha Pinti and Brice Haines are Students of the Month for April, 2018.

Alisha Pinti is the daughter of Jon Pinti and Donna Booth. She is the drum captain of the BHS Drumline and a member of the Symphonic Band. She has participated in the Harrison All-County Band as well as the Alderson Broaddus University Honor Band.

 

She is also a member of the BHS Jazz Band and played in the 2016 State Honor Jazz Band. She has attended the Marshall University Jazz Festival and has been a member of the Marshall Honor Jazz Band. She has been a member of the BHS Chess Club, Key Club and BHS Steel Drum Band, “Pandemic.” Pinti is the drummer for the performing band, “Before I Sleep,” which originated in Morgantown. She is a member of the BHS National Honor Society and serves as treasurer.

 

Pinti has been accepted into the West Virginia University Honors College, where she plans to major in aerospace engineering.

 

Brice Haines is the son of Mary and Brian Haines and has two brothers, Dylan and Trent. He is a four-year member and three-year letterman of the two-time state championship BHS Indian football team. He has been chosen for the All Harrison County Football team twice and received the BB&T Athlete of the Week in 2016. He has also lettered in baseball and has been a three-year member of the state championship BHS Indian baseball team. Haines also ran track his junior year and wrestled his freshman year.

 

Haines is a three-time recipient of academic lamps and letters. He has been a member of the Drug-Free Club of America for three years and DECA for two years. He also volunteered at the Bridgeport High School youth football camp. He has decided to continue his education at Wheeling Jesuit University, where he will study elementary education. He will also be continuing his football career at Wheeling Jesuit.
