By Connect-Bridgeport Staff on April 23, 2018 via Connect-Bridgeport.com

The annual James & Derek Hotsinpiller Scholarship Fund Spaghetti Dinner is scheduled and organizers are inviting Bridgeport, all of Harrison County and beyond to enjoy a great meal and a chance to pay respect to two of the best ever in the law enforcement ranks.

The dinner is scheduled for Sunday, May 20 at the Benedum Civic Center. It will run from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Meals are $8 for adults and $5 for kids 10 and under. Each meal includes spaghetti, salad, drink and dessert.

The meal raises funds for the scholarship fund that provides thousands of dollars annually to deserving high school seniors planning to attend college. The fund is in honor of the late James Hotspinpiller, a former lieutenant with the Bridgeport Police Department, and his son Derek. Derek Hotsinpiller was a United States Marshal who was killed in the line of duty.

The event is sponsored by the Bridgeport Police Department. Tickets can be purchased in advance at the Bridgeport Police Department on 515 West Main Street during work hours Monday through Friday. For information, call 304-842-8260.

Stop by and let the officers, police staff and others from the community serve you. At the same time, you get to support a great cause.
