Area Murder Suspect Considered Armed, Dangerous is Arrested by U.S. Marshals, Others without Incident

Members of the U.S. Marshals Mountain State Fugitive Task Force, Monongalia County Sheriff’s Office and the Morgantown Police Department arrested a Morgantown man wanted out of Monongalia County West Virginia for homicide. 
 
Chance Austin Williams, 23, of Morgantown was taken into custody in Morgantown, WV near the 1000 block of White Ave without incident.  The Monongalia County Sheriff’s Office identified Williams as the primary suspect in the death of Jamey Lynn Corbin, 47 of Fairmont on November 15, 2022 in Monongalia County, West Virginia. 
 
The U.S. Marshals Service, Northern District of West Virginia, Mountain State Fugitive Task Force was requested to assist in the fugitive investigation. U.S. Marshals positively identified Williams near the 1000 block of White Ave in Morgantown. U.S. Marshals requested the assistance of Monongalia County Sheriff’s Office and the Morgantown Police Department, Williams was taken into custody without  incident.
