An area restaurant that had been closed earlier in the pandemic only to recently reopen, has announced it will close permanently. There was no official reason listed as to why.

 

The Grape Leaf, which is located on Adams Street in Fairmont, made the announcement on social media earlier this week. The announcement came on their Facebook page.

 

The post said the following:

 

"The Grape Leaf is permanently closing.  We want to thank our customers for their support.  It was a pleasure to serve you.  We have great appreciation for our customers, employees, and the community.  We hope for the best for the future of Fairmont.  #thegrapeleaf #thegrapeleafcafe #downtownfairmontwv #closing"
