Area at Risk for Severe Thunderstorms this Afternoon, Evening; Primary Threats are Damaging Winds, Hail

Bridgeport Police and Emergency Services advise residents that there is a risk for severe thunderstorms today with damaging winds and small hail the primary threats. The greatest risk for the storm is between 12 noon and 8 p.m.
The hazardous weather outlook is for much of West Virginia, southeast Ohio and portions of southwest Virginia, including the North Central West Virginia area.
Residents are urged to secure porch and lawn items and keep vehicles under cover.
