Attorney General Morrisey’s Office Announces April Mobile Office Hours in North-Central West Virginia

Attorney General Patrick Morrisey announced today that a consumer representative from the Attorney General’s Office will host mobile office hours during April in north-central West Virginia. The representative will be available to answer questions and discuss the various ways consumers can protect their identity and personal information from scammers.
 
Pam Krushansky, a consumer representative and compliance specialist with the Office, will host the mobile office hours, which are scheduled as follows:
 
• 10-11 a.m. April 7 at the Taylor County Senior Center, U.S. Route 119, Grafton;
• 10-11 a.m. April 8 at the Preston County Commission Meeting Room, 106 W. Main St., Kingwood;
• 10-11 a.m. April 9 at the Morgantown Public Library, 376 Spruce St., Morgantown;
• 10-11 a.m. April 14 at the Tucker County Senior Center, 206 Third St., Parsons;
• 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. April 14 at the Mountain Top Senior Center, 2nd Spruce St., Thomas;
• 10-11 a.m. April 15 at the Upshur County Senior Center, 28 N. Kanawha St., Buckhannon;
• 10-11 a.m. April 16 at the Keyser City Council Chambers, 111 N. Davis St., Keyser;
• 11 a.m.-noon April 21 at the Marion County Senior Center, 105 Maplewood Drive, Fairmont;
• 1-3 p.m. April 21 at the Marion County Public Library, 321 Monroe St., Fairmont;
• 10:30-11:30 a.m. April 22 at the Lewis County Senior Center, 171 W. Second St., Weston;
•  11 a.m.-noon April 24 at the Randolph County Senior Center, Fifth Street and Railroad Avenue in Elkins;
•  10-11 a.m. April 27 at the Barbour County Senior Center, 101 Church St., Philippi;
• 11 a.m.-noon April 28 at the Clarksburg Senior Center, 500 W. Main St., Clarksburg; and
• 1-2 p.m. April 28 at the Harrison County Library, 404 W. Pike St., Clarksburg.
 
The mobile office hours are open to the public; reservations are not required.
 
“Mobile office hours are not only beneficial for local consumers to learn about consumer protection issues, but also for our Office because we get to hear about the calls, scams, and fraud happening in the region directly from consumers,” Attorney General Morrisey said. “We encourage everyone to stop by a local mobile office hours event to learn more about protecting their personal, identifiable information so they do not fall prey to a scam.”
 
Additionally, Krushansky will have a booth from noon-4 p.m. April 16 at the Mineral County Business Expo in Keyser, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. April 18 at West Virginia University Children’s Hospital Kids Day at the Morgantown Mall in Morgantown, and also 8:30 a.m.-2 p.m. April 23 at the AARP Operation Scam Jam at the Erickson Alumni Center in Morgantown.
