Australian Surgeon Travels to United Hospital Center in Bridgeport to Learn About Innovative Procedure

Adam J. Hansen, MD, thoracic surgeon at WVU Medicine Heart & Vascular Institute at Bridgeport on the campus of United Hospital Center, welcomed a visiting surgeon who traveled more than 10,000 miles to expand his knowledge in treating slipped rib syndrome.
Naveed Alam, MD, FRSC, FRACS, made the trek from Melbourne, Australia to United Hospital Center recently to gain the unique insight that Dr. Hansen offers.
Previously, Dr. Hansen has welcomed surgeons from Denmark.
