From the University of Delaware Blue Hens Web site:

They say the relationships that you develop in college and through sports will be ones that will last a lifetime.

That's exactly what the University of Delaware swimming & diving coaching staff will exhibit as head coach Pablo Marmolejo announced the addition of his former teammate Michael Walker to the Blue Hens.

“Michael is an energetic, passionate and knowledgeable coach. We come from the same coaching tree, and he shares my vision of this program. We have worked together in the past, and his work ethic, drive, and enthusiasm are contagious. He will have an instant impact on our program and student-athletes,” Marmolejo said. “He has coached alongside the best coaches in our sport, and his personal and professional experience will be a great asset in every aspect of our program.”

Walker comes to Newark after spending the past two years as the head coach of the Fairmont Area Swim Team in Fairmont, W. Va., while also serving as an assistant at Fairmont State University at the time.
