Like Mr. and Miss BHS, the Senior Representatives are selected by the faculty based on their academic success, involvement in school and extracurricular activities, and character. The senior representatives for the Class of 2013 are Troy Anderson and Sundus Lateef.

Troy is the son of Travis and Tina Anderson and the brother of Trevor Anderson. Troy lettered two years as a varsity football player, where he was selected as first team All Harrison County and All Big Ten, as well as second team All State. Troy also lettered three years as a varsity baseball player, and he was selected to first team All Harrison County, first team All Big Ten, and Honorable Mention All State. As a sophomore, Troy also lettered in varsity basketball.

Troy is an active member of National Honor Society. He was also a member of Fellowship of Christian Athletes as a freshman and sophomore. This school year, Troy was selected as Student of the Month and participated in Shop for Tots. His peers elected him “Most Athletic.”

“It means a lot to me to be honored as Senior Representative. I appreciate the faculty for selecting me to this position, and it is a great way to cap off my senior year,” said Anderson.

Troy’s future plans are undecided.

Sundus Lateef is the daughter of Atiya and Khalid Lateef. She is also the sibling of Sophia.

All four years of her high school tenure, Sundus participated in History Bowl, J.E.T.S., Quiz Bowl, and Science Bowl, where she was also captain of Quiz Bowl and Science Bowl.

She is also president of National Honor Society and French Honorary, as well as being vice president of French Club and an active member of Key Club.

In addition to lettering in tennis, Sundus also participated in Math Field Day, HOBY, Shop for Tots, and strings.

She was also selected as Student of the Month, Elks Teenager of the Month, Governor’s Honor Academy, National Merit Scholar, Dominion Post Honor Student, and AP Scholar with Honor. Her peers elected her “Most Likely to Succeed.”

“I am very honored to be selected as a Senior Representative for the Class of 2013. I really appreciate the faculty for all they have done for me these past four years. I try my best to give back to them as much as I can,” said Lateef.

Next fall, Sundus will be enrolling at West Virginia University, where she will major in Biology.
