BHS Volleyball Team Receives Academic Achievement Award; Honored by WVSSAC at Wheeling Island Stadium

The BHS volleyball team was honored at Wheeling Island Stadium the morning after tthe WVSSAC Class AA football championship game between Bridgeport and Bluefield, resulting in the Tribe's 10th AA state title.
The 2018 volleyball team received the “Academic Achievement Award” presented by the WVSSAC. Team members were treated to brunch and honored before the AAA state title football game, then recognized again at Wheeling Island Stadium.
Criteria for the award is outstanding GPA and school attendance.
"We are super proud of this group of student athletes," said Coach Ali Burton. "Recovering this award just proves that not only do these athletes take care of business when they are playing volleyball, but also in the classroom, which is most important!"
