Bobcat Marching Band Kicks Off Season with Band Camp

By Connect-Bridgeport Staff on August 22, 2014 via Connect-Bridgeport.com

West Virginia Wesleyan College will once again establish marching band as a co-curricular offering on campus.  Logan Lindsey is serving as director of bands, and the Bobcat Marching Band already has over 40 members for the first year.

The band, who once again has a presence on campus after a 35-year hiatus between 1979 and now, has been diligently working this past week during band camp on the College’s campus.

"The most important brick of building the foundation of a new marching program is the right students,” stated Lindsey. “This past week of band camp has proven we have the right students to create and establish this as a permanent tradition here at Wesleyan.  I have truly had a great time so far and please come out and see us this season.  The band will defy your expectations of any first year program."
