The Bridgeport High School boys have been named WVSSAC state swim champs. Finals were held this morning at the West Virginia University Natatorium. The Tribe accumulated 184 points, followed by George Washington with 161 points. Wheeling, Parkersburg, Parkersburg South, Hurricane, Winfield, Jefferson, Huntington and University high schools followed. The Indians finished Thursday’s preliminaries in first place. Girls’ finals action takes place at 4:30 p.m. today. The Lady Indians go into finals in second place. In the top spot is Parkersburg High.
