According to WBOY, a man has been charged after allegedly fleeing from law enforcement while high in Harrison County.

Troopers with the Bridgeport detachment of the West Virginia State Police tried to pull over a “suspect vehicle” in Harrison County on Wednesday, Jan. 29, but the vehicle rapidly accelerated away and a pursuit began, according to a criminal complaint.

Troopers followed the driver, later identified as 22-year-old Austin Pritt, on Pine Bluff Road where he drove “in a reckless and careless manner,” the complaint said. Pritt allegedly passed a vehicle near the intersection of Odells Knob Road and then lost traction on a turn, struck a guardrail and stopped, troopers said.
