By Connect-Bridgeport Staff on September 26, 2016 via Connect-Bridgeport.com

The Bridgeport Fire Department responded to an early-afternoon accident on Benedum Drive that, fortunately, didn’t result in any injuries.

According to Captain Rick Todd, the accident involving two passenger vehicles took place in the parking lot of the Mountain State Auto Auction. When fire staff arrived, Todd said no one was hurt to the point of needing a transport.

“There were no injuries. Those involved refused transport,” said Todd.

Although the Mountain State Auto Auction is well outside Bridgeport’s city limits, the territory is in Bridgeport’s first response area. The fire department sent two trucks and an ambulance.

The West Virginia State Police is handling the investigation. The call on the Harrison County 911 log went out at 12:05 p.m.
