According to WBOY, a man has been charged after two children were found walking on a road in Bridgeport.

On April 15, officers with the Bridgeport Police Department arrived at a residence in reference to a call of possible child neglect, according to a criminal complaint.

When officers arrived, they made contact with the complainant who stated two children were walking on Saltwell Road toward the BFS, and that the children “appeared to not be well taken care of and visibly upset,” officers said.

Officers spoke to one of the children who stated that they “were home alone,” and a caregiver for the children was notified who stated that the children should have been in the care of Lonnie Hill, 41, of Bridgeport, during the time they were found walking on the street, according to the complaint.
