Thursday's BMS Idol contest was a real variety show, heavy with pop and country vocals, but also featuring instrumentals from piano and guitar to cello. Earning the top spots this year were eighth graders Emily Aman and Emma Perine, both who sang - Emily a self-penned pop tune with her own piano accompaniment and Emma the classic "Take Me Home, Country Roads" with her own guitar accompaniment. 

 

The video below features the first five contestants in Thursday's show:

 

Ashley Hart singing "Warrior" by Demi Lovato;

Emma Perine singing and playing "Take Me Home, Country Roads;"

Ava Wagner singing "Stay" by Rhianna;

Emily Aman singing the ballad "Done," which she wrote herself;

Braden Zannino playing the Cello. 

 

The remaining performances will be featured in a second video.
