Bridgeport, Other Locals to Star in ACT 2 Theatre Company's Summer Youth Show "True Stories of the So-Called Big Bad Wolves"

By Connect-Bridgeport Staff on July 15, 2019 via Connect-Bridgeport.com

The ACT 2 Theatre Company's Summer Youth show will feature some familiar themes for anyone who has ever read a fairy tale or gone to middle school. Directors Cricket and John Hall have assembled another talented group of young actors and actresses to present two entertaining one act plays this summer.

In "True Stories of the So-called Big Bad Wolves" three wolves try to set the record straight about Red Riding Hood, the boy who cried wolf, and those paranoid little pigs. In "30 Horrible Catastrophes of Middle School" the ensemble recreates and pokes fun at those awkward, awful moments — flirting, selfies, dodgeball — and stereotypes — the nerds, the jocks, the preps —  in a fast-paced vignette style format.

Members of the cast and crew range in age from rising 5th graders to 2019 graduating seniors. The acting ensemble includes Emma Bell, Makenzie Bryant, Miranda Chicarelli, Maizze Christie, Ezekiel “Zeke” Collins, Dorian Cottrill, Ezra Davis, Aidan Gross, Loki Hall, Persephone Hall, Rhapsody Hall, Ali Heinrich, Bella Hersey, Katie Hitt, Morgan Sprouse, and Kailey Wilfong. Stage and technical crew members are Isaiah Evans on lights and sound and Sara Sprouse as props master.

Show dates are July 25, 26, 27 at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, July 28 at 2:00 p.m. All seats are $5.00 and are available at the door. Seating is Festival Style. No reservations are necessary. More information about this an other upcoming ACT 2 Theatre shows is at act2theatre.org.

Performances take place at the McCrory Marketplace Great Hall, 318 West Main Street downtown Clarksburg (the same building as My Mother's Daughter Cafe). The box office is at the cafe entrance. The Great Hall (and our stage) is in the back.

The ACT 2 Theatre Company is a 501(c)3 non-profit community theatre
