Just before 2:30 p.m., Bridgeport Police, Fire and EMS departments responded to a two-vehicle accident at Saltwell Road and Route 131. The accident involved a Chevrolet Cobalt and a Chryster PT Cruiser, the latter vehicle which was towed from the scene.

 

The call was dispatched via the Harrison County Bureau of Emergency Services as an accident with injury, but there were no hospital transports.

 

The accident is under investigation. Bridgeport Police Officer M.P. Hammond is the investigating officer. Hammond was unavailable for comment as he was called to a second afternoon accident which took place at Meadowbrook Mall. Look for details later on Connect-Bridgeport.
