Bridgeport Units Respond to Tuesday Morning Accident on Route 707

Bridgeport Police, Fire and Emergency Services responded to a 7:50 a.m. vehicle accident on Harrison County Route 707 between Route 279 and Saltwell Road.
According to Bridgeport Police Sgt. Scott Carpenter, the accident was a rear-end type collision involving a Kia Sportage and a Ford Explorer.
The Kia struck the Explorer, resulting in heavy damage to the Kia, but not the Explorer, Carpenter said.
There were no hospital transports and no significant injuries.
The roadway was blocked for a short period of time.
