During Sunday’s Bridgeport Youth Football action at Wayne Jamison Field, the league will be looking to honor the memory of, and raise funds for, Roane County High School senior football player Alex Miller. Miller passed away last two Friday’s ago during his team’s game with Clay County.

From noon to 6 p.m. Sunday, BYF will be providing a maroon wrist band to each football player and cheerleader participating. They will also be providing a helmet decal for the football players and ribbon for the cheerleaders to show support for Miller, his family and the entre Roane County community.

BYF will also be accepting any monetary contributions today through Sunday that will be given directly to the Miller family. If you would like to donate you can give the money directly to your team mom or come to the concession stand on Sunday.

There will also be a special 50/50 at this week’s home games featuring the midgets, pee wee and might mites against Lewis County. All the 50/50 proceeds will be added to the donations.
