Earlier this year, the business Web site Morningstat.com, which focuses on investments and market trends among other areas, discussed issues with Bon Ton Corporation. Bon-Ton is a parent corporation doing business as Elder-Beerman, Boston Store, Younkers, Bergner’s, Carson’s, Herberger’s and Bon-Ton.

 

The Web site suggested that several stores under the Bon-Ton brand would be closing. In fact, the Web site went as far as to list stores it felt were closing, which can be found hyperlinked below. Please note this is a speculated list from Morningstar and is not affiliated with Bon-Ton.

 

The good news is that the Elder-Beerman store in Bridgeport is not on the list of stores being speculated for potential closure. Even better news is that the mall’s store recently had a major renovation. That renovation began on Feb. 5 and was completed before summer to enhance the shopping experience at the location.
