The Harrison-Clarksburg Health Department regrettably announces the first death of a Harrison county resident on April 5, 2020 due to Covid-19. Our condolences go out to the family. The deceased is an elderly male who passed away while hospitalized at United Hospital Center. The individual had underlying health conditions and was critically ill. 

 

HCHD encourages all Harrison County residents to remember social distancing is still our best method of preventing the spread of this virus. Harrison-Clarksburg Health Department is taking necessary, carefully considered steps in conjunction with our local elected officials and law enforcement agencies to slow down the spread of the disease and protect those at greatest risk.
