Car Rolls on I-79 in Wednesday Night Two-Vehicle Accident

A Wednesday night accident on Interstate 79 resulted in a rollover of a Ford passenger car and one transport to United Hospital Center.
 
The accident took place at 9:40 p.m. in the northbound lane at the 124 mile marker, according to the Harrison County 911 emergency log.
 
According to witnesses, the Ford and a Chevy SUV were passing a tractor trailer, one on each side. As the vehicles emerged in front of the truck, they nearly collided, after which the SUV steered into the bank and the Ford hit the median and guardrail, thereafter rolling.
 
The Chevy was drivable after the incident. The Ford was towed from the scene by Dan Riggs Towing.
 
Responding were Bridgeport Fire and Emergency Services and Bridgeport Police Department. Officer R. Schuessler is investigating the accident, according to Sgt. S. Carpenter of the Bridgeport Police Department.
