City PD Investigation Gets Local Man 15 Year Child Porn Charge Sentence

A Belington man has been sentenced to 15 years in Federal prison after being convicted of possessing sexually explicit images of children.
 
United States Attorney William J. Ihlenfeld, II, announced that Charles Edgar WARE, age 64, was sentenced to 180 months in prison for “Possession of Child Pornography, Second Offense.”  WARE, who had a previous felony for mailing material involving the sexual exploitation of minors, was convicted of possessing child pornography that had been transported via his computer.  WARE was remanded to the custody of the United States Marshal.  After serving his sentence WARE will be subject to 10 years of supervised release.
 
Assistant U.S. Attorney Stephen L. Vogrin handled the matter for the government and the investigation was conducted by the Bridgeport Police Department.
 
Chief U.S. District Judge John Preston Bailey presided.
