According to this report from WBOY, Elkins Mayor Van Broughton will sign a proclamation Tuesday designating it as Derek Hotsinpiller Day. The day marks the five-year anniversary that the Bridgeport High School alum was shot and killed in the city while serving as a member of the U.S. Marshal's Service.

 

Broughton asks residents to show blue that day, whether it's a light on your house or a ribbon on your clothes.
