Clarksburg Declares Glen Elk "Clarksburg's Little Italy"

By Connect-Bridgeport Staff on December 09, 2019 via Connect-Bridgeport.com

The City of Clarksburg is excited to announce the designation of “Clarksburg’s Little Italy” to the Glen Elk Historic District. The area located to the north of the city’s Central Business District has a rich history steeped in Italian immigration and culture. The Italian heritage is evident in the residents, businesses, and historic architecture of the Glen Elk area. As such, the Clarksburg City Council passed a resolution to designate the neighborhood as “Clarksburg’s Little Italy” at a City Council meeting held on Thursday, August 15, 2019. This will be an added distinction to the name of the Glen Elk Historic District.

Please help us to dedicate the new signage on Friday, December 6, 2019 at 1 p.m. at the corner of 4th Street and Clark Street.
