Clarksburg Native Who Played Football at WVU then Climbed Educational Ladder, Frank Aliveto, Passes

Frank Aliveto, 71, of Shepherdstown, WV passed away Tuesday, February 11, 2020 at his residence.
 
Born September 22, 1948 in Clarksburg, WV, he was the son of the late Frank and Angeline Aliveto.
 
He was of the Catholic faith.
 
Frank’s grandchildren were the light of his heart.
 
Frank was a graduate of Shepherd University, class of 1971, where he played football, and later received his Master’s Degree in Education Administration from WVU. Frank began his career coaching and teaching in Berryville. He later moved on to Hedgesville High School as a teacher and football coach, and later became the principal. Afterward, he went to the Berkeley County Board of Education as the Assistant Superintendent of Schools.
 
He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Susan, at home; one daughter, Cari Aliveto Rosen and husband, David of Shepherdstown, WV; one son, Frank Aliveto and wife, Beth of Berryville, VA; five grandchildren, Zoe and Eve Rosen, Isabel, Mia and Molly Aliveto; one sister, Rose Aliveto Nicholas of Clarksburg, WV; one brother, John Aliveto of Elkins, WV and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
 
A memorial service to celebrate Frank’s life will be announced at a later date.
