Clarksburg Woman Faces 20 Years in Prison after Guilty Plea in Federal Court to Distribution of Heroin

Danna J. Hern, 30, of Clarksburg pled guilty to heroin distribution in federal court Tuesday, United States Attorney William J. Ihlenfeld, II, announced. 
 
Hern pled guilty to one count of “Conspiracy to Possess With the Intent to Deliver Heroin.”  She faces up to 20 years in prison and a fine up to $1 million. Under the Federal Sentencing Guidelines, the actual sentence imposed will be based upon the seriousness of the offenses and the prior criminal history, if any, of the defendant. 
 
Assistant U.S. Attorney Traci M. Cook prosecuted the case on behalf of the government. The Greater Harrison County Drug and Violent Crime Task Force, a HIDTA-funded initiative, investigated.  
 
The Bridgeport Police Department has members on the Task Force. Chief John Walker serves as the chairman of the Task Force.
 
U.S. Magistrate Judge Michael John Aloi presided.
