Class AAA State Champion Bridgeport Cheer Squad in Place and Looking to Defend its Crown in 2022

Bridgeport High School will be looking to win back-to-back Class AAA state cheerleading championships this year, and last week the group that hopes to accomplish the task were named by Coach Natalie Hathaway.
The team will feature seniors Abigail Davis, Brynna Greathouse, Sallyanna Hamrick, Ruby Jackson, Andie McCall, and Lexi Wilkinson. The 
juniors on the squad will be Gianna Felosa and Alea Matthis.

For BHS, the sophomores this year will be Jasa Garvin, Riley Lanza, Lily Lopez, and Tori Wagner. Rounding out the squad are freshmen Mary Nguyen, Lilly Wolfe, and Bailey Root.
The team will be at various sporting events, primarily football, this fall. The regional competition will be Saturday, Nov. 5 and, this year, it will be close by as the Class AAA, Region I event is at East Fairmont High School. The starting time is 10 a.m.
The teams and order of performance has already been determined. The units, in order, are Preston, Bridgeport, Brooke, John Marshall, Wheeling Park, Morgantown, and Buckhannon-Upshur.
