Connect-Bridgeport and our media partner at WDTV recently teamed up to do a candidate question and answer session for those running for municipal office in the June 9 Bridgeport election. All seven candidates took part in the forum.

 

News Director Nate Smail did the interviews, while staff at WDTV put the video segments together. The format for the program was set up to have the candidates respond to questions in a short time frame. Candidates, all of whom were given the same questions, did not know the questions they would be asked prior to the interview session.

 

After a random draw was done to determine the order of those being interviewed, the candidates met with Smail and presented with the questions. Outside of the introductory question, the candidates were given two minutes to answer each additional question.

 

The order of which candidates appear today - Memorial Day - on Connect-Bridgeport was also drawn randomly. City Recorder candidates will go first, while City Council candidates will go in the five slots after that.
