County Woman Living Just Outside City Limits Sentenced in Federal Court for Selling Bath Salts

Nioka Lynn Wriker, 34, of Anmoore was sentenced to 33 months in prison for selling bath salts, United States Attorney William J. Ihlenfeld, II, announced.
Wriker sold bath salts known as “Power X Energy Soak” in Harrison County. The bath salts contained a controlled substance known as “α-Pyrrolidinovalerophenone” or “α-PVP.”
Wriker pled guilty in November 2014 to one count of “Distribution of Controlled Substance Analogue – Aiding and Abetting,” following an investigation by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and the Greater Harrison County Drug and Violent Crime Task Force, a HIDTA-funded initiative. The Bridgeport Police Department has members on the Task Force. Chief John Walker is the chairman.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Shawn Morgan prosecuted the case on behalf of the government.
U.S. District Judge Irene M. Keeley presided.
