DHHR Reports 406 New COVID Cases; Harrison County's Number at 6,300; State Deaths at 2,936

The West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources is reporting as of this morning (Monday, July 26) the total number of COVID-19 cases has increased from 165,702 to 166,108; an increase of 406.
 
Monday's report is showing that the total number of tests given is 3,101,280 and the percentage of positive cases vs. tests given is 4.93 percent. The daily percent positive is at 5.12 percent (daily tests/confirmatory test results).
 
According to the DHHR website, Harrison County's numbers are at 6,300 (4,337 confirmed cases,1,963 probable cases), 98 active cases, and 82 deaths with 6,120 recoveries.
 
Please note that delays may be experienced with the reporting of information from the local health department to DHHR. As case surveillance continues at the local health department level, it may reveal that those tested in a certain county may not be a resident of that county, or even the state as an individual in question may have crossed the state border to be tested. 
 
The total number of deaths related to the coronavirus remained at 2,936.
 
The number of recoveries from the virus is at 161,605 with active cases at 1,567.. 
 
According to the DHHR site, there are 96 hospitalizations as of July 23.
