DHHR Reports Increase of 101 Cases of COVID-19; Harrison County's Number now at 109

The West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources is reporting as of this afternoon (Friday, July 10) at 5 p.m., the total number of COVID-19 cases has increased from 3,882 to 3,983; an increase of 101.
 
Friday afternoon's report is showing that the total number of tests given is 201,092 and the percentage of positive cases vs. tests given is at 1.98 percent. The daily percent positive is at 4.24 percent (daily tests/confirmatory test results).
 
According to the DHHR website, Harrison County's numbers are at 109 confirmed cases, 0 probable case, 43 active cases, one death and 65 recoveries.
 
As case surveillance continues at the local health department level, it may reveal that those tested in a certain county may not be a resident of that county, or even the state as an individual in question may have crossed the state border to be tested.  
 
Also, the DHHR is reporting the number of statewide deaths remains at 95.
 
The number of recoveries from the virus is at 2,756 with active cases at 1,132.
