DHHR Reports Increase of 12 Positive Cases of COVID-19; Deaths Related to Virus Remains at 72

The West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources is reporting as of this morning (Saturday, May 23) at 10 a.m., the total number of positive COVID-19 cases has increased from 1,705  to 1,717; an increase of 12.
 
Saturday morning's report is showing that the total number of tests given is 83,744 and the percentage of positive cases vs. tests given is at 2.05  percent. The daily percent positive is at 3.32 percent (daily tests/confirmatory test results)
 
According to the DHHR website, Harrison County's number of positive cases is 38 with one death and 20 recoveries. 
 
Also, the DHHR is reporting the number of statewide deaths has increased from 71 to 72.
 
The number of recoveries from the virus is at 1,110.
