DHHR Reports Increase of 13 Cases of COVID-19; Deaths Related to Virus now at 77

The West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources is reporting as of this morning (Tuesday, June 2) at 9:30 a.m., the total number of COVID-19 cases has increased from 2,028 to 2,041 , an increase of 13.
 
Tuesday morning's report is showing that the total number of tests given is 100,543 and the percentage of positive cases vs. tests given is at 2.03 percent. The daily percent positive is at 0.21 percent (daily tests/confirmatory test results)
 
According to the DHHR website, Harrison County's number is at 39 with one death and 20 recoveries.
 
As case surveillance continues at the local health department level, it may reveal that those tested in a certain county may not be a resident of that county, or even the state as an individual in question may have crossed the state border to be tested.  
 
Also, the DHHR is reporting the number of statewide deaths has increased from 76 to 77.The 77th death is a 52-year-old man from Kanawha County.
 
The number of recoveries from the virus is at 1,341 with active cases at 623.
