DHHR Reports Increase of 29 Positive Cases of COVID-19; Deaths Related to Virus Remains at 74

The West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources is reporting as of this evening (Thursday, May 28) at 5 p.m., the total number of positive COVID-19 cases has increased from 1,906 to 1,935; an increase of 29.
 
Thursday evening's report is showing that the total number of tests given is 91.036 and the percentage of positive cases vs. tests given is at 2.13 percent. The daily percent positive is at 2.13 percent (daily tests/confirmatory test results)
 
According to the DHHR website, Harrison County's number of positive is at 39 with one death and 20 recoveries. 
 
As case surveillance continues at the local health department level, it may reveal that those tested in a certain county may not be a resident of that county, or even the state as an individual in question may have crossed the state border to be tested.  
 
Also, the DHHR is reporting the number of statewide deaths remains at 74.
 
The number of recoveries from the virus is at 1,232.
