Where you regularly get your coffee – and doughnut fix – may soon change.

By the end of this year, Dunkin' will close approximately 450 locations in Speedway gas station convenience stores, a move that was first announced in February, the company confirmed to USA TODAY on Tuesday.

"Very few of the approximately 450 Speedway-owned and operated limited menu Dunkin’ locations have closed to date, and we remain on track to exit Speedway by the end of 2020," said Michelle King, a Dunkin' Brands spokeswoman.

Coffee competitor Seattle-based coffee giant Starbucks announced in June that it plans to close up to 400 company-owned locations over the next 18 months.

Starbucks said that while it was closing the locations, it plans to speed up the expansion of "convenience-led formats" such as curbside pickup, drive-thru and mobile-only pickup locations.

Dunkin' reached an agreement to exit the Speedway-owned-and-operated locations along the East Coast this year, King said.
